It’s 5.45 and I’m just about to get up. Benson is doing his doggy yoga and it’s pretty cold. 55 and I still hate getting out of bed. Makes me wonder what would Brian Boitano do if he was here right now?

And pose
Back on the health push. I mean it is winter after all so what else is there to do? Yoga is my go to morning start routine, followed by a go on the peloton. Planning on getting back into kettle bells and dumbbells too. Just need to find a workout that fits my needs.

Another week begins
So it’s been a week since I deleted all news apps from my mobile. I literally have no clue as to what’s going on in the world and it feels amazing 🤣
So what for my new empty head? Well let’s see what I can conjure up from the depths of the interweb. Probably some more tinkering around with home assistant automations.
Or I’ll finally wash those windows. (Probably not)
What a day
What started off looking like a complete write off actually turned out to be quite the productive day. Managed to get everything on the list ticked off. Here’s hoping tomorrow can be as good.
Walked Benson in the pouring rain (failed to check weather before leaving as it was blue skies so was totally soaked). Got all the laundry done, washed the sofa covers and finally put the new covers on the large sofa. Everything is finally matchy matchy. With that said I did see some gorgeous leather sofas while I was in IKEA with Dave during the week. Might change them closer to summer. Orange leather. Really cool! Also got the Kathmandu photo album completed. Loving this new productive me.

Happy Halloween

Headed out with the crew to The Butler last night. We were the first ones there in an act of unparalleled eagerness. Anyway I managed to make it until midnight after which I did the DannyDodge (a very undramatic exit stage left with no aplomb). Obvs very drunk.
October 2025
The day has arrived
For some it’s Halloween, for Americans it’s trick or treat, for the British it’s almost Bonfire night and for the pagan Irish it’s Samhain. Lots of traditions around each but in Ireland one particularly terrifying one is the carving of faces into turnips. Sounds all cute and happy until you see how menacing the results are. Move over pumpkin you have no idea what’s coming.

I’m obsessed
With Korean and Japanese Netflix series. Every day another one drops and I find myself adding to the watchlist. Devils plan is excellent and brutal. Like survivor for nerds. Alice in borderland is a reimagining of super Mario and princess peach meets squid game but with a whole lot more blood and gore. Physical 100 shows how body obsessed athletes really are. It’s a longer list but if you’re looking for something new give some of them a go.
House Of Dynamite
Different perspectives of the same 18 tense minutes of a, I don’t have a clue what, anti-climatical bunch of balls
Two hours of my life I’ll never get back. Great cast, terrible movie.
Memories of Nepal
A wee morning coffee to remind me of Nepal.

We stayed two nights in Dingnoche as it was one of the acclimatisation stops on our Everest trek. After dinner on the first night we hit the town (tongue firmly in cheek) and checked out the local coffee houses, the coffee in the tea houses was terrible (oh the irony). Anyway we stumbled upon this place on our way back. It was an oasis in the desert. So laid back and well designed. I was taken by surprise to be honest. It felt like we were sitting in one of the funky cafes in Kathmandu Thamel area. Anyway we were totally full so we headed back the next evening for dinner and wow how amazing. I was so impressed I bought this coffee mug and a tote bag. It’s nice to have the memories triggered every now and then.
Normality has been restored.
It’s been a very long road. After months of living out of an ironing mountain I finally spent the weekend ironing and folding everything. My stress levels have abated and OCD is back in check. Thank gawd for Steam Presses.
