So it’s stupid o clock in the morning and I’ve been awake for an hour now as Benson has an upset stomach thanks to some cheap dog treats he was given earlier. Gawd damn those pesky dog lovers. So I want to avoid another fountain of shit all over the ikea waxed paper lamp shade event, hence staying awake in monitor mode.
Off to California tomorrow morning. Looking forward to it as it’s been a long time since o travelled. So many old and new faces to catch up with. It’s going to be a busy week next week for sure.

This is The Way

It’s the Camino that just keeps giving. Just as you thought we’d exhausted all possible posts about our trip to España, out of the closet pops this little beauty. Oh the fun we had the day we did.
Happy Christmas
I kid you not. Today whilst driving to the shops I came across four separate houses with Christmas lights outside. Colourful strings of fairy lights. For the love of Barbara Streisand what is going through these peoples minds?
45days to failure
Liz Truss. Gone but not missed.
Jacob Rees Mog that weasel of a man who after the Brexit vote said that there was no way to turn back and have a second vote that we would be stealing it from the people last night said it was perfectly fine for MPs who had voted to boot out Boris Johnson to change their minds. What an utter cock womble of a man. History will rain down very badly on this lot but by then they will have drained the country’s proverbial bank account. They are lower than swamp rats.

Not only was it a fun Camino. It was also a Bun Camino. So much so that the Galician tourist office wants to use me as a poster boy. How great is that!!?

Booster rooster
Well I’m officially on my third round of Covid vac and boy does it feel good. Bizarrely while I was in there they threw in a flu jab for good measure. Ain’t nothing gonna break me down this winter. Well except maybe the clap but hey maybe they’ll develop a jab for that too 🤣
And another thing.
I used every single item I packed with the exception of one pair of socks. However I would still pack less if I went again. No need for Nintendo switch. One pair of trousers is enough. Don’t pack any wash items ( buy tgere) even the camelback drink backpack was unnecessary. Next time I’ll camino like a pro. Xx
Buen Camino
Just back from a week of hiking in the North of Spain. What a great week it was. We planned the trip as a birthday gift for one of our friends. None of us have any hard core hiking experience but we all managed to get almost 140km of walking done over five solid days. Master organiser Tracy sorted out the accommodation and bag transfers. That’s one thing I would definitely recommend. Get your bags carried between the hotels. It’s a service offered by the Spanish post office. Really makes walking a lot more enjoyable. I took loads of pics as did the others. Will share more when I have time to throw a page together.
Buen Camino
So I’m off to Spain for the week with the ladies. Stupidly early start for me. Left the house at 5.30am to get to Gatwick. Jesus I hate these outer rim budget airline centres. They are just filled to the rafters with cheapos. Yes I’m a travel snob. If it’s not BA and I don’t have the option of escaping the great unwashed by dodging into the lounge I’m not going to be happy. To top it all I am here stupidly early. Had the obligatory bag security check. Apparently having a tub of powder in your luggage triggers the security team. Luckily they didn’t do a full unpack as that would have taken a few hours to redo. So anyway here I sit contemplating a trip to WHSmith to get a sandwich and some water for the flight but I know if I peak too soon on that I’ll have it eaten before I board. Soon I’ll be in sunny Barcelona waiting for the next flight. Connecting travel is so much fun don’t you think?
