It's been almost two decades since my good friends from the HP days travelled to Nepal to trek to Everest Base Camp. Ever since then I have been dreaming of doing it myself. Well I finally managed to get a small group together and organised a trip and WOW what a trip. So many sights and wonderful people. This one will be difficult to match.
It's almost three months since I was last at the house in Ireland and I'm starting to get withdrawl symptoms. Here are some of the pics I took while I was home for the month in September. Happy days indeed.
One thing I really love about dog ownership it's getting out of bed at 6am and taking Benson out for a walk. No honestly I actually love getting out in the hours of darkness to greet the sunrise. There's something about first light that makes even a phone captured image look awesome.
There are many reasons to curse 2020 for but one good thing that came from it was my finally getting the office at the end of garden refurbished. Normally I would go for it myself but in this instance I got the professionls in and boy was it worth it. The entire process is documented here.
Getting out into the woods for a couple of hours with your dog by your side. Breathing in the fresh air and taking in the sights as you carve your way through uncharted territory. It's that time of year where 'fake-spring' sets in and we all convince ourselves that winter is over lolz
It all started out with a secret conversation and the outline of a cunning plan. Tracy was about to hit the big 'five oh' and we needed to do something special to celebrate it. So after some digging around (and some convo's with the Lanigan clan) we discovered that Vienna was a destination that could fit the bill. And so it came to be, a trip was booked and off we headed to the Austrian capital. WOW we could never have imagined it could be as good as it worked out.
