I’m a huge fan of lists. Make them every time I’m going away. What tech to bring. Menu for the week. Shopping list. But never clothes. Well wole up this morning to the shock realisation that I didn’t pack any t-shirts. Just the one i came in and my pjs. So today i spent all day walking around in my pyjama top. No one seemed to notice as I’m so stylish. Now I’ve got to go and buy some tees from the nearest shop.

Day 2 end of the balancing act

okay i admit that’s a shameless way to shoehorn in my balancing stones pic but pretty proud of my first attempt. I am officially a tree hugging crusty stone balancing hippy type now. Also got the car back which was a huge relief. Celebrated with pesto linguine with spiced olives and shaved parmazan. Ooooeee laaaaa deee daaaaa I’m such a fancy camper. Also drank about twelve bottles of budweiser….. oh well you only live once and all that. Plus my igloo coolbox keeps them nice and chilled.
Day 2 & operation tyre change

So this is what i woke up to this morning. What a spectacle. Blue skies and the sea as calm as a mill pond. Made egg and bacon sandwich for breakfast on the campingaz grill (this is starting to sound like a product placement) boy I really do love that grill.
So the whole purpose of getting up early was to get to the garage early so they could order my tyre. Told the chap to whatsapp me if he needed to ask for any approvals as there is no reception on the campsite (I quite like being off grid for a few days). Anyway myself and Benson took to the coast path to check out the sights. Luckily so as we hit a 4G spot and I picked up a call from the garage (obvs didn’t understand my whatsapp request) … called him back and it looks like I will have the tyre before the end of the day. Relief stations as that means I am mobile again. I hate driving on the spare in case there is another puncture event.
check out my coast walk gallery below. Beautiful walk for a few hours. Benson was exhausted.
As the day ends what an amazing view

Day 1 camping in Wales

I’m not going to lie. Day 1 of my welsh camping adventure literally started with a bang! Well maybe more of a pop and a fizzle as I got a puncture about a mile from the campsite. Limped my way to the site and checked in. Put the tent up and called a garage to order a new tyre. DRAMA (to be said in a very gay welsh voice)
Luckily everything else went without a hitch (so far). Tent up and some smashing campsite cuisine prepared for the evening meal. Burgers and chips a la campingaz party grill. Who said camping had to be uncomfortable? Okay there was one hitch. Air bed puncture…. For the love of Jehovah thats two in a row.

Am I bugging you?

Had this stag cross my path this morning. It’s that time of year so don’t forget to look down just in case….
The shock realisation
I gave up favebook and Instagram to get over my addiction to likes. Guess what…. It hasn’t worked. Now i send a whatsapp message and keep checking for the lol reply…. For the love of jesus what’s wrong with the world (and me).
A day in the life of an allotmenteer.

It may be small but it’s perfectly formed. I may be 6 weeks behind the curve but I’ll get there. Plis my allotment neighbour gave me some plants for the site today. Awesome!
One man and his dog

As the weather once again turns it’s time for the obligatory me and Benson in the woods on a sunny day picture. This one taken at Blackbushe airport.
What’s in the allotment?
Well after a very shakey start there is actually quite a lot there now.
- cherry tomatoes
- cucumber
- green peas
- sugarsnap peas
- mangetout
- spinnach
- broccoli tenderstem
- leeks
- red onion
- white onion
- multicoloured carrots
- green beans
- runner beans
- edamame
- rhubarb
- blackberries
- gooseberries
if I manage to get one meal out of it I will be surprised 🤣🤣
